Rafts

  We have a limited number of rafts available depending upon water levels. Rafts hold up to six and rent for $60

Thaxton’s will shuttle you to your starting point and you will paddle down to your vehicle. Private boaters welcome. Shuttle fees vary on distance driven and run from $16 - $40 for 1 to 2 day trips. Those setting up their own shuttle and using our access sites must sign a release form and pay the insurance assessment of $7.50/person.

* We provide: canoes, kayaks, rafts, paddles and  PFD’s (lifejackets)

*Children 12 and under are half off with two paid customers.

*Groups of twelve or more can receive a discount with a non-refundable deposit. Call 472-2000 for more information.

 *For those who want to enjoy canoeing or kayaking without the long mileage, we offer:

paddle out/paddle in (unlimited): $10.00

(no shuttle service - you paddle upriver and back)
